Assignment of teaching assistants is a dedicated support service that provides students with access to trained teaching assistants (TAs) who help answer academic questions, clarify difficult concepts, provide feedback on assignments, and support general study skills.
Learning in a new academic environment can be challenging. TAs offer an accessible point of contact for immediate questions, help reinforce lecture content, and support you in applying theoretical knowledge to practical tasks, ultimately boosting confidence and academic performance.
Teaching assistants are selected and trained by SIMI Swiss academic departments. They are advanced-level students, alumni, or qualified academic support staff with strong subject expertise and a passion for mentoring.
You should engage with TAs throughout your study journey — when working on assignments, preparing for exams, reviewing lecture topics, or whenever you need additional guidance beyond scheduled classes.
TA support is available online through video calls, messaging systems within the learning management system (LMS), and scheduled live Q&A sessions. In-person support may also be offered at SIMI Swiss campuses or designated partner facilities.
Students are assigned a dedicated TA or can request on-demand support. You can submit questions, share draft assignments for preliminary feedback, and book individual or small group sessions to discuss course content in detail. TAs provide constructive feedback, suggest study strategies, and help you stay on track with your academic goals.
The assignment of teaching assistants is designed to support SIMI Swiss students in strengthening their understanding of course content, improving study skills, and enhancing overall academic performance.
The service includes clarifications, study advice, and informal feedback. It does not replace formal faculty grading, does not guarantee assignment approvals, and does not involve rewriting or directly completing student work.
TA support does not lead to additional credits or formal academic qualifications.
SIMI Swiss does not guarantee the recognition of its qualifications or programs by any third parties, including but not limited to governments, ministries of education, licensing bodies, or other educational institutions in any jurisdiction. Recognition decisions are made solely at the discretion of such third parties and are beyond the control of SIMI Swiss.
SIMI Swiss, StudyAbroader, and their partners are not liable for academic performance, grades, or outcomes related to advice or feedback provided by TAs.
All students are strongly encouraged to complement TA support with personal study, engagement in classes, and consultations with faculty members to ensure comprehensive learning and successful outcomes.
