Campus and city tour support is a personalized service that introduces students to their new academic and living environment. This includes guided tours of campus facilities, local neighborhoods, essential service locations, and key cultural or social landmarks.
Getting to know your new city and campus early helps reduce anxiety, improves independence, and supports faster integration into student life. It also ensures you know where to find essential services like supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and public transport.
This service is provided by SIMI Swiss’s student affairs team and local StudyAbroader partners. Tour guides and advisors are experienced in supporting international students and are knowledgeable about both campus resources and local city life.
You should participate in tours shortly after your arrival and before starting classes. Early participation helps you settle in faster and confidently navigate your new environment from the first day.
Campus and city tours are offered in person at SIMI Swiss campuses and in surrounding city areas. Depending on your location, additional local tours may be organized through partner offices.
Students join small group or individual tours led by local advisors. The tour covers key campus buildings (such as classrooms, libraries, student services, and cafeterias), nearby accommodations, and important city points (public transport stations, markets, health services, and cultural spots). Students receive maps, orientation materials, and practical tips to help them move around easily on their own afterward.
Campus and city tour support is designed to help SIMI Swiss students gain familiarity with their academic and living environment, promoting confidence, safety, and community integration.
The service includes guided tours, orientation materials, and local navigation tips. However, ongoing accompaniment or personal transport services beyond the initial tour are not included.
Campus and city tour services do not involve academic evaluations or affect program recognition.
SIMI Swiss does not guarantee the recognition of its qualifications or programs by any third parties, including but not limited to governments, ministries of education, licensing bodies, or other educational institutions in any jurisdiction. Recognition decisions are made solely at the discretion of such third parties and are beyond the control of SIMI Swiss.
SIMI Swiss, StudyAbroader, and their partners are not liable for incidents or losses during or after tours resulting from personal decisions, non-compliance with guidance, or external factors.
The support is only for full-time students. The Online and Part time students will not have this support.
All students are strongly encouraged to explore additional local resources, maps, and cultural information to further enrich their experience and ensure independent navigation after the tour.
